The show will appeal most to younger viewers, but adults who remember Spielberg’s Amblin era may get swept up in it too

In Steven Spielberg’s spectacular 1982 film “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial,” there is a sweet little scene where a couple of bike-riding youths wander through their eerily sweeping suburban streets on Halloween. As they attempt to hide the titular extraterrestrial visitor by disguising him as an adorable ghost, they humorously encounter a kid dressed up as Yoda who E.T. mistakes as an alien friend and toddles over to. It’s a fun throwaway scene which, while more than a bit cheeky considering the longtime friendship between Spielberg and Star Wars creator George Lucas, brought the creations of the duo together for a brief moment in a manner that now feels downright quaint.
